Schedule

Last update: Wednesday 3/20/24
The editor of this blog will produce three scheduled publications every week: a
"Useful AI News" page; a TL;DR summary of the most important new events on the news page; and an audio podcast version of the TL;DR summary.

Our publications aren't for AI experts. They are for knowledgeable computer users who want to figure out what they need to learn about the new AI tools so they can use these tools in their studies and in their future employment.

A. News page ... daily
The news page, divided into ten sections, will be updated every day. Links to our newest stories will be printed in red font. From time to time, links to older news stories (black font) whose content has been overcome by events will be deleted. However, enough older links will be retained so that readers can get a quick sense of where we are and how we got here by skimming the headlines of the remaining articles in chronological order. No section will ever include more than 12 stories.

B. Top Stories ... Saturday, Sunday
Copies of links to the week's top stories will be placed in the headlines section of the news page on Saturday. posted on the blog's @neoskeptics account on X/Twitter on Saturday and Sunday.  The headline section will be cleared on the following Wednesday.

C. TL;DR ("too long; did not read" summary) ... Sunday (p.m.)
A TL;DR summary of the week's top stories will be posted in a separate note on Sunday evening. These notes will contain links to the news page in their opening paragraphs. But for the reader's convenient reference, a copy of the links in the headlines section of the news page will be included in the text of the TL;DR note

D. Audio podcast ... Monday (a.m.)
An audio podcast version of the TL;DR summary will be posted on Monday. A link to the podcast will be added to the TL;DR note.

E. Announcements ... Monday (p.m.) and Tuesday
Announcements of the TL;DR and podcast summaries will be posted on the blog's @neoskeptics account on X/Twitter on Monday and Tuesday.
