 has rapidly become the most successful use case for Large Language Models. Models can now code so well that all Big Tech and many smaller companies are making drastic reductions in the size of their coding staffs. That's bad news ... for software engineers. 

The good news ... for experts in a wide range of other fields ... is that new employment opportunities are just over the horizon for computer savvy personnel who learn how to use generative AI to solve complex problems in their fields. Whisper, ChatGPT's super effective open source transcription app, correctly captures more than 95% of what the editor of this blog says, even when he's talking at high speed. Recently, he asked ChatGPT how he could use Whisper with another chatbot.  He was repulsed by the multi step-by-step method that ChatGPT recommended, so he digressed to explain that its cumbersome procedure would interrupt the flow of their conversation.

Indeed, the editor has engaged ChatGPT in intensive conversations that involve eight or more prompts and responses that extend over a 24 hour period ever since OpenAI made a vague announcement that it had "improved" ChatGPT's capacity to engage in conversation.
