May I have the envelope, please ... Yes ... Yes ... The winner this year is ... once again: NOT the CDC!!!
Come on, people. How many times does this have to be explained? The CDC was awarded the title "Nation's Primary Source of Academic Data About Infectious Diseases", which reflected its amassing a gazillion bytes of data about how vicious microscopic vermin behave in labs and in human bodies.
That title required no understanding of how to persuade a super majority of the population to break deeply ingrained social and workplace habits, cold turkey. Nor did it require deliverance of timely, non-fllp-floppy guidance to federal, state, and local community leaders under two radically different directors appointed by two radically different presidents.
Indeed, the CDC has committed so many unforced blunders so consistently that the wonder is that none of its leadership group has ever felt sufficiently embarrassed and/or patriotic to become a whistle blower. So they have all adhered to the CDC's super secret nondisclosure agreements (SSNDAs) whereby they committed to never saying anything that might confirm the public's growing suspicions that, with regards to COVID guidance, the CDC has no idea what it's talking about ... :-(
